One of a kind
While I was at work today, I was thinking of something to write. I really didn’t have any specific thoughts or inspirations, but while talking to a customer at my work, I found it. She noticed that my name was Brad, which also happens to be the name of her son. We shared a laugh about it, when she told me that it doesn’t matter if you find a hundred people with the same name, we’re all one a kind.
It’s really sounds like a cliche thing to say, because obviously no two people are the same. But the more I started to think about it, the more I realized it’s really not.
Maybe I’m getting old, but it seems like more and more people are just trying to copy what they see. Whether it’s what they see on TV, read in a magazine or whatever it is, it seems like a lot of people (especially the younger generations) have lost their individualism.
People need to embrace their individuality, because that’s what makes us who we are. I don’t understand why someone would want to pretend to be something or somebody their not. When you do that, you’ve lost not only your identity, but you’ve lost who you are. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed about the things that make you who you are.
Instead, embrace your imperfections. Take notice of the things that make you happy, and learn to be happy inside of your own body. You might not be perfect, but you don’t need to be. So try to start loving yourself for who you are, because at the end of the day, that’s all you’re going to be.

Well Put, Sir.
Well Put, Indeed
