Another year, another list of goals
Now that we’ve finally made it to 2013, I decided to take a few minutes to come up with a list of specific things that I’d like to accomplish this year. Well, those minutes turned into hours, hours turned into a few days. So in no particular order, here’s my official list.
1. Get 100,000 views for my blog: Although this might sound a bit difficult (I had approximately 14,000 views in 2012), I feel like I should be able to accomplish this for a few reasons. I’m hoping to continue providing plenty of new content about baseball, my thoughts on life and my travels along the way. If I can stay committed to writing, I’d like to think I have a decent chance.
2. Create a video on youtube with over 100,000 views: I’ve never really spent a lot of time trying to make or market videos on youtube, but I have a few projects in the works that I think will be very well received. Stay tuned, as I’ll be posting about that in the very new future.
3. Help raise $2,500.00 for charity: I’ve always wanted to get more involved with charity work, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to raise not just money, but awareness for such foundations as Stand Up 2 Cancer and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
4. Visit three new baseball stadiums: Slowly but surely, I’m starting to knock several Major League Baseball stadiums off my list. In 2012 I got a chance to go to U.S. Cellular Field and Yankee Stadium, so I’m going to try to do one better this year. Although nothing specific is in the works, I’d like to get a chance to sit on top of the Green Monster at Fenway Park, knocking two things off my bucket list at once.
5. Be chosen as a Cave Dweller: In what will be my final year of applying, I’m hoping to be chosen to be a part of the 2013 MLB Fan Cave. I got a taste of what it would be like last year (I was part of the final 30, plus got a chance to visit the Fan Cave back in April), and now I’m going to do everything I can to make it this year. It would be an honor to represent the Detroit Tigers, all of their fans, plus the great state of Michigan.

Sky Dome is a pretty snazzy stadium to visit, if I do say so myself!!
I did go there once years ago (when it was in fact still called the Sky Dome), but it was during some sort of car show. I was able to get a tour of the stadium, I just wasn’t able to watch a game. I’ll make it back there one day.
